about me
Hello and Welcome! While most of you are probably new faces, I am looking forward to getting to know each of you and doing everything that I can to help you succeed in Biology this year. Biology is so exciting because it involves anything that's living - from the biggest whale to the smallest bacteria - and it surrounds us every day!
This is my 5th year teaching at Plano High School. Prior to teaching, I worked as a certified athletic trainer - 2 years of which were at Plano High School. I now use my athletic training skills to cover home games and events for Plano Middle School! I have my Bachelor's degree from Northern Illinois University in Kinesiology and a Master's degree from the University of Idaho in Recreation Management. I then obtained my teaching certificate and Master's of Arts in Teaching from National Louis University.
When I'm not at school, I enjoy going to flea markets and finding DIY projects for my home, listening to country music, Skyping with my 6-year old niece, and spending time with my family and friends, including Stout - the cutest 115 lb dog that belongs to my best friend.
